Location Trigger – Misanthrope’s Homestead. Location Trigger – Bear Creek Campground. Location Trigger – Dave’s Quiet Clearing. When you sketch the area, it should print the location name on the map. Location Triggers: Any time you arrive at a location in The Long Dark and see an on-screen message that tells you a new location has been discovered, that’s a Location Trigger. Examples would be the Carter Hydro Dam or Camp Office in Mystery Lake. Icons: Icons are just what their name suggests icons that will appear on your map once you’ve sketched the area. In some cases, a location will have both, and players must ensure they have captured both while grinding for Faithful Cartographer. These are split between Icons and Location Triggers. 
It should be noted that there are different types of locations players must map.
